Hello all! Thank you for visiting my space! I love photography and have always wanted a place to share my work. I discovered the joy of photography during my first travel abroad as an adult. The fall of 1999 brought me to Hong Kong for my student teaching. Who knew that, as I was starting my path as a music teacher, I was starting down another path - capturing my love of places, moments, and travel with a camera. I have no idea how many rolls of film I shot (yes, rolls!) over those four months and most of those pictures were NOT very good. (Thank goodness for digital because I still take mostly so-so pictures!)
As I was beginning to create this site in my mind, I couldn’t ignore the music in my life. I’ve been a musician since I was six. I wouldn’t be honoring me and my life if music wasn’t at least a small part of this project. But I did not want to do music recommendations! Way too much pressure. So since photography is about capturing moments, I’m going to reflect back on other moments in my life where music was a highlight, was an important presence or memory. And maybe you’ll find some new music along the way!
